The club absorbed the ADAC and other automobile clubs in 1934, shortly following the rise of AH to the position of \u003cem\u003eFührer und Reichskanzler\u003c\/em\u003e (leader and chancellor of the Reich). The DDAC provided roadside assistance to members and was closely affiliated with the NSKK. These \"Clubs\" were used by the NSDAPs to encourage Automobile skills as they did for Flying skills during the time when Germany was still not allowed and Military organizations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a very nice example of a D.D.A.C. Rigid Vehicle \u003cem data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eWimpel\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e (Pennant)\u003c\/span\u003e, attached to the correct metal post with a threaded bottom. This would be screwed into the fender of the automobile or other vehicle to indicate it was being used by the D.D.A.C. The pennant itself is made of double sided rigid plastic (possibly vulcanfibre), and measures 7 3\/4 inches by 11 3\/4 inches. It displays the D.D.A.C. emblem in a central oval, at the intersection of a white and red 'Balkan Cross'.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition is very good, with the expected wear from age and use. The chrome plating on the metal components is well retained, and all parts are non-magnetic except for the nut on the pole.
