It is embossed with a central \u003cem\u003eswas\u003c\/em\u003e (hook cross), with a wreath around it bearing the motto\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e Gott mit uns\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003c\/em\u003e(God with us). Nice single piece aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in very good condition, with all the pebbling in good condition, and most of the details in the wreath still present.  There are no markings on the buckle itself, but the leather pull tab is clearly marked with a manufacture stamp:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ccenter\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eE.
