Each contains one steel belt of 50 round capacity and a starter tab. All components of this set bear the original WWII German Maker marks and dates, as well as proof marks on the belts and starter tabs. The transport frame both carry drums are original WWII paint.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Transport frame itself is marked \u003cstrong\u003ewa 43\u003c\/strong\u003e for production at Hugo Schneider AG. They manufactured belts and carrier frames as well as ammunition. The original paint is mostly intact, with the expected chipping and wear from age and service. In some areas the primer coat can be seen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne basket belt carrier with original paint is marked \u003cstrong\u003ewc 43\u003c\/strong\u003e, again for Hugo Schneider AG. The paint is about 80% present. The other drum belt carrier is marked  \u003cstrong\u003eh.q.u. 43\u003c\/strong\u003e, for Markes \u0026amp; Co. KG, at Lüdenscheid in Westfalen. They were contracted to make these basket belt frames and carriers and supplied them throughout the war. Both drums are in very good structural condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside each carrier is an empty 7.92×57mm Mauser 50 round belt, as well as a starter tab. These are all fully German wartime marked.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOnce common, these are now very hard to find on the market, especially with German WWII markings.
