Both decals are retained at over 90%, showing some scratches with some nice age discoloration and light wear, giving them a great patina. There is a long scratch on the right side of the helmet that goes through the NSDAP shield decal. The interior has retained the black paint very well, showing little in the way of wear or damage. The shell was manufactured without provision for a top comb, a configuration consistent with its Ordnungspolizei issue.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe helmet is equipped with a WWI type three panel liner, with each panel having a pocket behind it for additional padding, and the original top tie is still present. It is constructed with a fiber band covered with black oilcloth, and there is a buff leather crown pad as well, which is in very good condition. It still retains all five tabs for the attachment of a neck shield, and is size stamped with \u003cstrong\u003e56\u003c\/strong\u003e on one of the rear fingers. There is an original chinstrap present, however the buckle has broken off the shorter side, so it can no longer be fastened.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis German WWII M34 “Square Dip” Ordnungspolizei helmet retains most of its satin-black finish, both police and NSDAP shield decals, its three-panel leather liner, crown pad, neck-shield attachment tabs, and all four liner rivets with their cork spacers. The decals remain more than 90% intact, although the NSDAP shield is crossed by a long scratch, and the shell shows scattered scuffs and paint loss, particularly across the crown. The size 56 liner and interior finish are well preserved, while the original chinstrap is present but cannot be fastened because its buckle has broken away.
