The sight has several connection points, likely meaning it could be used with a few different guns aboard the U-Boat. The side is painted with red, and on the bottom of the disc below the eyepiece is painted the number 9734. The dial on the disc is used to switch between the three different filters, meant for use in different weather conditions or time of day.
