They are the correct company officer version, with 2 rows of silver bullion \"Russia Braid\" double piping that loop around the button hole. There are no rank \"pips\" installed, correct for the Leutnant rank, the lowest officer rank. The bases of both are \u003cem\u003eRosa\u003c\/em\u003e (Rose-pink), which was the \u003cem\u003eWaffenfarbe\u003c\/em\u003e (corps color) during WWII for the \u003cem\u003ePanzers\u003c\/em\u003e (Armored Troops) and \u003cem\u003ePanzerjäger\u003c\/em\u003e (Tank Destroyers). These are the \"sew in\" style, and do not have attachment straps on the bottom.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition of both is very good, with the colors well retained, and there is no real mothing or major damage we can see. There is some wear to the Russia braid, and light staining to the felt, but otherwise they are lovely.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eReady to help dress up any officer's tunic, or maybe even a nice \"Panzer Wrap\"!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Heer as the German army and part of the Wehrmacht inherited its uniforms and rank structure from the Reichsheer of the Weimar Republic (1921–1935). There were few alterations and adjustments made as the army grew from a limited peacetime defense force of 100,000 men to a war-fighting force of several million men.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese ranks and insignia were specific to the Heer and in special cases to senior Wehrmacht officers in the independent services; the uniforms and rank systems of the other branches of the Wehrmacht, the Luftwaffe (Air Force) and Kriegsmarine (Navy), were different, as were those of the SS which was a Party organization outside the Wehrmacht.
