During the 1930s, various companies in Germany such as \u003cstrong\u003eElastolin\u003c\/strong\u003e,\u003cstrong\u003e Lineol\u003c\/strong\u003e, Marklin, Tippco and Wiking began to make numerous toy soldiers from painted \"composite\" materials, and later on from plastic. They mostly made German soldiers, but they did also produce soldiers from other countries, so that more complete battle scenes would be created. They were also generally available from each maker in several different sizes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a great set of 10 Lineol and Elastolin toys from the pre-WWII period, with a large artillery piece. Some are in rough shape with paint loss and breakage of certain pieces.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere are 9 soldiers and 1 nurse, all marked either \u003cstrong\u003eElastolin\u003c\/strong\u003e or\u003cstrong\u003e Lineol\u003c\/strong\u003e. The artillery piece is unmarked that we could find and has some condition issues. The set consists of:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e- Soldier walking with sword.\u003cbr\u003e- Soldier lying down with Maxim MG.\u003cbr\u003e- Soldier lying down with Maxim ammunition belt, meant to go with gunner.\u003cbr\u003e- Medic soldier pouring canteen into cup.\u003cbr\u003e- Soldier walking with rifle slung over neck.\u003cbr\u003e- Nurse tending to wounded.\u003cbr\u003e- Wounded soldier being tended to.\u003cbr\u003e- Soldier lying down with MG34 or MG42 MG.\u003cbr\u003e- Soldier marching with rifle in arm.\u003cbr\u003e- Soldier lying down with rifle, aiming.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe figures are all in good condition, with deformation and damage but nothing terribly serious.
