The same serial number can be found on the bottom of the rear mount prefixed by R. This is absolutely correct for a wartime Wetzlar scope, and the serial number is in the correct range. The scope is equipped with a lockable elevation adjustment knob and a three-post reticle. The optic is still mostly clear. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe surface shows heavy oxidation through the original bluing, with some scuff marks as well. This example also comes with the original leather eye-cups with the strap that connects them.
