The NSDAP, or \u003cem\u003eNationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei\u003c\/em\u003e (National Socialist German Worker’s Party), was originally founded in Munich as the DAP, or \u003cem\u003eDeutsche Arbeiterpartei\u003c\/em\u003e (German Worker’s Party), on January 5 1919. When Adolf joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919 he was to reform what was basically a debating society into an active political party. Appointed as the first chairman of the party on July 29TH 1921 he was to restructure it along para-military lines in a hierarchy of four levels of government.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDuring the next decade, the NSDAP gradually grew in power, and on January 30, 1933 Reichspräsident Paul von Hindenburg appointed Adolf H as Reichskanzler (Chancellor of Germany), after which he quickly consolidated power to become a true dictator.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHere we have a very nice 7 5\/8\" x 4 3\/4\" Christmas and New Years Card, printed on cardstock stationary from Der Führer Adolf's Munich office. It has a gold printed \u003cem\u003eReichsadler\u003c\/em\u003e eagle in the upper left corner, over the name \u003cstrong\u003eADOLF H***ER\u003c\/strong\u003e, and to the right is the MÜNCHEN, indicating the office location. We have compared the style of font and design with other period example we have seen, and it is an exact match. It is stored between two pieces of glass \/ plastic measuring about 8\" x 10\", secured inside by plastic clips on the edges.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe upper right corner has the date \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eim Dezember 1940\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, and below is a printed message: \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHerzliche Glückwünsche zum Weihnachtsfest und zum Jahreswechsel\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, which translates to \"Warmest wishes for Christmas and the New Year.\" To the lower right is der führer's signature, which was most likely a stamp or printed as well, as it shows none of the usual signs of being hand written.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition is very good, showing some yellowing from age, but no major issues.
