These were used in factory mess halls during the third reich period, when the DAF supplanted all of the trade organizations, unions, and similar organizations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll of the utensils in the set are constructed of magnetic stainless steel and on the back, they are stamped with the \u003cstrong\u003eDAF cogwheel\u003c\/strong\u003e logo above \u003cstrong\u003eM·D·A\u003c\/strong\u003e for \u003cem\u003eModell des Amtes\u003c\/em\u003e (Model of the Office) and \u003cstrong\u003eSch·d·A\u003c\/strong\u003e for \u003cem\u003eSchönheit des Arbeit \u003c\/em\u003e(Beauty of Labor). They are also all marked \u003cstrong\u003eROSTFREI\u003c\/strong\u003e, indicating stainless steel construction. The fork has a maker mark of an Anchor inside a circle, while the other three items have what looks like a Caduceus on a shield, however there is only one snake around the staff.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll utensils are in very good service used condition, with the knife still showing some of the original factory final polish grind crossgrain. In October 1934 the DAF was given official status as a sub-section of the NSDAP and in March 1936 it was recognized as an independent NSDAP affiliated association and granted control of its own monetary budget.
