Anthony Carter's Reference EB7 appearing on Page 47-51 is the model we offer here. Heavy Stamped steel two-piece hilt with split muzzle ring, a shortened 10" blade and complete with steel scabbard. Marked 9007 on the cross guard and 6856 / 5 on the handle. It also bears regimental designation E.B.L.J.R. / 3. 39. for the Ersatz Bataillon Landwehr Infanterie Regiment, number 3, 39th soldier.
J. Anthony Carter died in 2001 but his four volume work is acknowledged as the supreme reference work on the subject most especially the Ersatz Volume (No.3) which was his great passion throughout his lifetime.
