This so called droop tail eagle is characteristic of early Luftwaffe insignia and differs noticeably from the later eagle pattern with a more extended tail.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe buckle is in very good condition, with the pebbling strongly retained and most of the eagle and wreath detail still clearly visible. No maker marking is visible on the buckle. There is also no surviving leather maker tab, so the original manufacturer cannot presently be identified. There are also several small areas of surface loss, including around the concealed stitching on the upper side.
