These were a companion to the NSDAP produced \"documentary\" propaganda film, \u003cem\u003eDeutschland erwacht – Ein Dokument von der Wiedergeburt Deutschlands\u003c\/em\u003e (Germany Awakes - A documentary of the Rebirth of Germany). This example \u003cstrong\u003edoes not have an edition number\u003c\/strong\u003e noted, which may mean that it is a first edition! It was printed in the early 1930s by \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCigaretten=Bilderdienst\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e (Cigarette Picture Service) of Altona-Bahrenfeld, probably 1933 or 1944.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVery early editions of this still retained pictures of Ernst Röhm, before he was executed during the \"Night of the Long Knives\", and on \u003cstrong\u003epage 52\u003c\/strong\u003e we can see his portrait picture, which was not later defaced or removed! There is even a short handwritten note in German under it noting his death in 1934. There are also pictures of Röhm in the section of the book about the SA, pages \u003cstrong\u003e128-131\u003c\/strong\u003e. He would later be replaced by Viktor Lutze, and all pictures and mention removed from later editions of the book.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is approximately 150 pages long, hardcover, and features a huge number of glued in pictures, as well as some very impressive portraits of the top level NSDAP leadership. We checked, and it contains\u003cb\u003e EVERY\u003c\/b\u003e photo, yes, none are missing! It even still has the MASSIVE foldout picture of the 1933 NSDAP rally in Nürnberg, which is 12 inches wide and over 4 FEET long! It measures approximately 9 1\/2\"W x 12 1\/2\"H x 1\", and is offered in very good used condition. This is one of many collectible books released after the NSDAP rise to power in 1933, and is both a collector's book as well as a history book. There is wear and some tearing to the pages, however it only looks to have seen relatively light use during the wartime period.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA great piece of WWII early NSDAP memorabilia and propaganda, ready to research and display!
