It is plane white porcelain and looks to be either unglazed or has a clear glaze on the exterior, while the interior has a clear gloss glaze. The bottom is marked with the maker logo of \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRosenthal\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e of\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e Selb\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, a known Bavarian maker of fine porcelain that exists even today, and there is a \u003cstrong\u003e2541\u003c\/strong\u003e pattern number stamped into the porcelain itself. It indicates that it was produced by the \u003cstrong\u003eKUNSTABTEILUNG\u003c\/strong\u003e (art department), so this was an above average piece.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne side of the base shows a lovely scene of a flying goose over water plants, while the other side has a DAF logo in gold, with additional information around it, which reads as follows:- \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e1. We assume this vase and others like it were presented for achievement, as the factory was run under the authority of the German Labor Front, which had replaced all unions during the NSDAP period.
