The serial number \u003cstrong\u003e15332\u003c\/strong\u003e is quite low, as by 1943 the company was well into 6 digit numbers. On the opposing side of the bridge is the series marking \u003cstrong\u003eDIALYT\u003c\/strong\u003e and the power is also marked with the numbers \u003cb\u003e\u003ci\u003e10 X 50\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e. The series was superseded by the Dienstglas model early in the war.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBoth diopter adjustments operate smoothly and the bakelite eye cups are excellent. The optics are in excellent condition and mostly clear. Original leather neck strap is also included, and is in great shape. Showing only a minor wear, the field glasses are offered in good functional condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlso included is a fine condition black leather case with a wood-lined top where sun shields would have originally been stored. The spring-loaded catch mechanism is maker marked and dated \u003cstrong\u003efrn 42\u003c\/strong\u003e for Rudolf Lang,  Brandenburg an der Havel,  Koppehlstrasse 5-7, a maker of springs and metalwear. The shoulder strap for the case is sadly missing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMost likely this case is not the original one issued with the binoculars, as they are definitely far older. This would be a period replacement for a case that was lost or damaged.  However, this is still a wonderful set complete with case offered in very nice condition.
