There is very little paint left with chipping and oxidation as shown. This example is missing the washer between the fuze and grenade, so the fuze rotates around the grenade but does not come out.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKnown officially as the offensive n°1 (OF1), these grenades were manufactured between 1915 and 1917. The detonator would be screwed inside the upper hemisphere, whose complex forming needed that part to be stamped in a higher quality thin plate, while the lower cap could be made in a more common grade thin plate. They featured a bursting radius of 38 feet.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis example is offered totally inert with a deactivated fuse and all explosives removed per BATF specifications. It does have some corrosion, but nothing terribly serious.
