It has a curved 31½” steel blade with a leather wire-wrapped grip \u0026amp; brass mounted leather scabbard. This example is unmarked, as most during this period were.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe sword is contained in its original brass mounted black leather scabbard with three brass fittings, and the two suspension rings are still fully retained, with some string tied between the two that we have left in place. The middle piece is loose but still displays well.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis style of sword was used until around 1822, when models with thinner blades and more ornate guards were put into service.
