This is a classic late 18th century French style Brass Blunderbuss Flintlock Pistol by FAISAN of NAMUR, which is actually today in Belgium, but was the site of a famous battle just prior to Waterloo in 1815 resulting in the defeat of Napoleon Bonaparte.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNotable features include a checkered bag type grip with semi-eared engraved steel butt cap. Features an all-brass lock and a 7.5-inch brass barrel. The strong functioning under-the-barrel spring triangular bayonet is activated by pulling the trigger guard towards the butt, and snaps to a locking position very impressively. Pistol comes complete with original brass tipped wood ramrod housed in two brass pipes to the right of the barrel.
