This was the primary service rifle of Finland during the WWII period, and was the main rifle used during both the first \"Winter War\" and the later \"Continuation War\". This bayonet is identical to the M1927 bayonets, the only real difference being a “parade” like appearance; bright polish\/finish and appealing grip scales which in this case is the lovely Tiger Wood.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLike most that we have seen, it was made by \u003cstrong\u003eHACKMAN \u0026amp; CO\u003c\/strong\u003e in Finland. Hackman was a cutlery and cookware company founded in Finland in 1790. The Hackman brand is now owned by Iittala Group, which was acquired by Fiskars Corporation in 2007. The bayonet is a standard bladed bayonet, with a slightly curved crossguard, which attaches under the barrel with a muzzle loop and mortise slot with a lock.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe blade is in very good condition, though it does show sharpening and cleaning, as well as some past pitting. The crossguard also has some past pitting as well, but the rest of the hilt is in good shape. The grip scales are in good shape with no extensive damage present. The scabbard is in very good shape, with minor dents and some finish wear.
