This is a very realistic full-scale Marushin UZI-style cap plug firing model gun, manufactured in Japan and fitted with a removable wooden stock, detachable magazine, and sling. These Japanese plug-fire replicas are well known for their realistic dimensions, weight, and mechanical operation, making them desirable display pieces and useful theatrical props.
This example is marked on the top:

SMG MARUSHIN 5 79

This dates it to May 1979. The gun is not marked with replicated IMI markings like other Marushin examples we have had, the markings on the top being the only ones we could find.

Examination of the barrel shows that it is plugged, but there is a "firing pin" in the rear of it, which would usually be used with cap-like "plugs" inserted into the front of dummy cartridges. These then feed into the gun and get ejected like real cartridges, though they sometimes weigh quite a bit more.

The plug fire gun is in very good display condition and appears to function as intended, however, we cannot guarantee that it does function and is only being sold as a prop display piece. We cannot see any damage, and it looks to have only seen light use , with the expected light wear to the finish. The magazine still looks to be functional, and there are no remaining plugs with the set. There is a sling attached which gives the Uzi a great look.

The combination of the Marushin Japanese manufacture, full-scale UZI configuration, detachable wooden stock, removable magazine, sling, plugged barrel, and surviving mechanical features makes this a very attractive example of a vintage plug-fire model gun.

All purchases are sent and need an adult signature which is required by UPS.
