V PRAZE\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e7716\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eVz.30.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis indicates manufacture at the Czechoslovakian state arms factory located in the capital of Prague. The left hand side of the frame is marked J (LION) 33, for manufacture in 1933.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt chambers 26.5mm flares and has a 5\" barrel. The design is quite unique and quality of craftsmanship is very high. There is a hinged breech block which swings open to access the chamber. The hammer is thumb cocked and drops down to allow the pistol to be loaded. The trigger is single-action. The barrel and breech block are both easily removable without tools and the inner workings are accessible through a hinged door on the left side of the frame.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOverall condition is excellent with almost all the original bluing intact. There is a bit of oxidation in areas, especially on the parts of the pistol that are not blued, such as the\u003cbr\u003ehammer and trigger. The one-piece walnut grips are in very good condition with some minor impressions. The pistol is in perfect mechanical condition and includes the often missing firing pin.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese well made signal pistols were produced in rather limited numbers but saw use throughout WWII, mostly with German forces.
