Unlike the more common PG-7 series, which are anti-tank shaped-charge rounds,\u003cb\u003e\u003ci\u003e the OG-7 was developed primarily as an anti-personnel and light materiel projectile.\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe RPG-7 (Ruchnoy Protivotankoviy Granatomyot – \"Hand-Held Anti-Tank Grenade Launcher\") was developed by the Soviet Union as the successor to the earlier RPG-2 and became one of the most widely produced and recognizable shoulder-fired weapons in military history. Simple, reliable, and inexpensive to manufacture, the RPG-7 has been produced by numerous Warsaw Pact nations, including Bulgaria, and has seen service around the world since its introduction in the early 1960s.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis example is an original Bulgarian-manufactured OG-7 40mm rocket and retains its uncommon green cardboard transport tube over the tail section.
