This is a very interesting original WWII-era\u003cstrong\u003e theater-made knuckle knife\u003c\/strong\u003e constructed in a distinctly British style, with a simplified brass knuckle grip and a handmade blade assembly. Theater-made fighting knives were often produced from whatever materials and components were locally available, resulting in a wide variety of unique patterns and construction methods.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese knives were made by the armorers and engineers on request. The larger ships needed to have skilled fabricators on board to make repairs and modifications to weapons and gear. Usually the blades were made from existing weapons or from steel components, and the hilts were cast from metals such as aluminum or zinc.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a very interesting example of a British style simple-construction knuckle knife with four brass finger holes and spikes with the blade embedded onto one side with three rivets, without brass covering the blade tang.
