Original Item. Only One Available. This is a tremendous set of WWII RAF Pilot’s goggles, Mark II, Type 22C/826 in their original case. These are one of the most sought after sets due to being issued so early in the war.
The goggles are clearly marked on the strap with the Air Ministry Marking, AM with Crown, and the type, 22C/826, as well as the date of manufacture, 1940. The buckles of the strap have some verdigris.
The original case is marked on the lid with EIS43 over a Broad Arrow. The interior has a very oxidized card with instructions for cleaning, marked at the bottom with AIR MINISTRY OFFICE.
