This Cooper Bomb is unable to be rendered live again to be used as an explosive device and is not available for export.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bomb was 24 lb (11 kg) in weight, of which 20 lb (9 kg) was the bomb casing and 4 lb (1.8 kg) was an explosive charge of Amatol. The main body, being 5⁄16 inch (8 mm) thick, was made of cast iron, steel or semisteel and the after body (tail) is made of wood and the fins sheet steel. It measures approximately 26 inches in overall length with a width of about 5 inches.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bomb is in great condition with a “functional” fan assembly on the fuse. The fuse is still able to be removed from the nose for inspection of the interior. The green paint is a repaint as these were more of an orange \/ brown color originally. There is no extensive damage present and all fins are present.
