Original Item: One of a Kind. This is a most attractive Private Purchase Officer's Swagger Stick from the First world War. It was made from a knotted tree branch just 35" in length, and displays a carved French Bull Dogs head on the top with glass eyes. There is even a small dog's collar shaped ferrule made from what looks to be nickel. The top of the dog's head has a small a Gold oval plaque engraved:-

The battle of VIMY RIDGE in 1917 was another epic of WWI however of Lt. A. FOX we know nothing whatsoever, so there is plenty of research potential here. We recieved this from a substantial British WWI Collection owned by a now deceased Collector who was born in the 1920's.
