There is also a faint \u003cstrong\u003eD \u0026amp; S\u003c\/strong\u003e maker mark, which we unfortunately cannot identify.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe rather suspect this was a gift from an officer to his \"batman\" (manservant) completing two years service until victory in the Boer War.
