This is a lovely late 18th Century British Cannoneer’s water keg, branded with a \u003cstrong\u003ebroad arrow\u003c\/strong\u003e over \u003cstrong\u003eB O\u003c\/strong\u003e, for “Board of Ordnance”, the typical marking of the period. Unfortunately the keg is empty. It has the correct \"bunghole\" on the top for filling, and the long bung plug is still retained, though we are not sure if it’s the original.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe keg measures roughly 8½\" x 6”, and retains the iron handle connected to the two inner iron hoops.
