These are really rare, in that Great Britain was developing so fast few Percussion Revolvers were seldom converted to Cartridge as far better alternatives manufactured as breech loaders become quickly available.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis particular Revolver started life as cylinder loading percussion revolver, utilizing the \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDEANE HARDING PATENT 15,624P\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e of 1851 as indicated on the frame. Sometime in the late 1860's it was then converted to being one of the first Officer's Revolvers offered as a breech loader. One can still see various percussion aspects of the weapon, while others that were not needed were removed at the time of conversion. The pistol retains its original checkered wood grip and now has a barrel of 3 1\/2\" which we're sure was especially ordered by the Officer.In operating condition, there is still a small amount of original blue color to the frame but mostly it has now turned gray.
