The sword itself mimics the appearance of the classic British Model 1796 Officer’s Sword, which traditionally was a very popular design amongst the European market for decades.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Sword features a faintly etched blade, with each side exhibiting decorative scrollwork extending halfway up the blade. The hilt is constructed of brass with a decorative floral\/flag\/lion motif with a silver wash applied. The handle is made of black horn with a brass wire wrap. One guard folds down, with a locking mechanism that functions perfectly. Overall the sword exhibits a very pleasing patina.
