This small bore Percussion\u003cbr\u003erifle was intended for PARLOR Shooting in doors as a family pastime to educate the entire family on how to safely handle firearms. In the form of a SCHUETZEN Rifle, the gun is equipped with an elaborate wood stock with a large intricate butt plate. It is fitted with a SET TRIGGER enclosed in an elaborate steel trigger guard. It is fitted with a TANG rear sight and the side hammer mechanism has the hammer joined by a steel linkage to a firing nipple set inside the barrel 21\" further down the barrel where the \"true\" barrel starts and measures just over 6\" to the muzzle.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is an oval hole in the underside of the barrel giving access to the nipple for re-capping.
