The city is once again under concentrated attack, and large areas of the city are already ablaze. Meanwhile, the armada of German bombers is clearly visible in the night sky as they sweep across the city. However hope is not lost, as a lone Hurricane night-fighter from 85 Squadron, based at nearby Gravesend, engages Heinkel 111s of KG55 in a desperate attempt to break up the formations.

This is described in the paragraph below the framed print, which reads:

FURY OF ASSAULT
by
Robert Taylor

With London consumed by fires and blasted by high explosive bombs from the relentless assault of the Luftwaffe during the Blitz of the capital, a Hurricane night fighter from 85 Squadron valiantly engages Heinkel 111s of KG55, December 1941

Additionally, the print is signed by artist Robert Taylor on the far left, along with four Luftwaffe Heinkel pilots who flew with KG55 during World War II, as well as by an RAF Hurricane night-fighter pilot:

● Oberleutnant Joachim Berking
● Unteroffizier Fahnenjunker Walter Bogdan
● Oberleutnant Karl-Horst Meyer Zum Felde
● Oberleutnant Heinrich Sudel - Recipient of the Knight's Cross of the iron Cross
● Flight Lieutenant Roy Daines -Recipient of the Distinguished Flying Medal

Also included is the Certificate of Authenticity from the MILITARY GALLERY, which gives a much more detailed description of the service for each veteran.
