This particular style is usually seen in North Africa, particularly in Algiers. Overall length of this example is 15 3\/4 inches in the impressive scabbard, 10 1\/4 inches on its own. The blade is single-edged with a false edge for the last half and 9 1\/2 inches in length, with a longer edge on the inside, as is typical for these daggers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe hilt is silver mounted, with a lovely powder flask shaped large grip made from what we believe is wood, although it does give off some horn qualities.
