This example appears to have some functionality issues.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pistol operates the same as a real P-38 pistol when used with the cap\/plug fire cartridges. We have not tested the pistol, so we cannot guarantee functionality. Examination of the barrel shows that it is plugged, but there is a \"firing pin\" in the rear of it, which would usually be used with cap-like \"plugs\" inserted into the front of dummy cartridges. These then feed into the gun and get ejected like real cartridges, though they sometimes weigh quite a bit more. As mentioned there appear to be some functionality issues, but it still dry fires.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe replica comes with its original magazine, but no caps.
