German MP 38 u. 40 Magazine: Suomi M31
Original Item: Another IMA coupe: We have found a small quantity of German MP 38 u. 40 magazines that were modified by the German forces during WW2 for use with the Finnish Suomi M31 submachine gun. According to John Walter in "Guns of the Third Reich" (page 163), the Finns supplied a quantity of M31 Suomis to the Wehrmacht. Since magazine production in Germany was geared up for MP 38 u. 40 magazines, it was simpler to weld an adapter to the rear of their existing magazines than to initiate production of another type of magazine altogether. Gun (pictured) is not included.
