British SMLE Rifle Mk III, One Only

Regular price $849.00

Item Description

Original Item:  Before the First World War, quality of manufacture and finish on both military and civilian rifles was done to a very high standard.  Large volume production was not undertaken in the years before the First World War, so much more attention was paid to the quality of finish of the rifles that were manufactured at that time.  Also, at that time, rear sights with windage adjustments were standard on all production.  This rifle is marked ER under the crown on the butt socket, indicating manufacture during the reign of King Edward.  Most S.M.L.E. rifles are marked GR, indicating manufacture during the reign of King George.  Includes original correct leather sling.
