Original Soviet Russian WWII Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant Socket Bayonet - First Pattern

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a Russian Mosin-Nagant Model 1891 socket bayonet - First Pattern - designed for the Mosin-Nagant Infantry Rifle. While the Model 1891 had been superseded by the Model 1891/30 Mosin-Nagant, both models continued to be used throughout WWII. Model 1891 rifles without bayonets would still need them produced.

This example is definitely WWII issue, as the side is marked with an arrow in a triangle for the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant (Russian: Ижевский Механический Завод, Izhevsky Mekhancheskiy Zavod). This plant was founded in 1942 to manufacture small arms.

Condition is very good, with just a bit of oxidation on the blade, and only light wear. The locking ring is a bit stiff due to decades of storage.

Ready to fit to your Mosin-Nagant M1891 Rifle! Please note that this will not fit the M1891/30, as the bayonet ring will not clear the front sight hood.

Specifications:
