Item Description
Original Item: Only One available. This is a very nice large size oil can for use with the Vickers Medium Machine Gun. The can is constructed of plated steel with a brass screw filler cap in the middle, and a brass oiling nozzle on the corner. Both caps still retain their retainer chains. The can measures approximately 5 1/2" x 5" x 3 3/4", for a capacity of approximately 3 pints. It is encased in a very nice leather carrier, which is marked and dated on the side under the top strap:

The end of the strap has broken off, however the can is still quite secure in the carrier. We attempted to remove it, but it is most likely stuck due to reaction with the leather.
