Original Late 18th Century Small Bronze Minion Cannon - 2" Bore
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic totally original late 18th century or early 19th century bronze cannon tube that measures 32.5 inches when including the cascabel. The bore is 2 inches in diameter which designates this as a two pounder (2-pounder). According to the Tower of London this size cannon is considered a Minion. The cannon is is very well cast and in a manner that makes us think ti could be European manufactured. However, it was recovered in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2003 and there are Negari characters inscribed across the breech. We believe these markings were added long after this cannon left the foundry. The touch hole is not spiked and remains small (not shot out). See schematic scan for detailed measurements.
