Original WWII Imperial Japanese 7x7.1 Binoculars by ToKo with Tropical Case and Neck Strap

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. These are WW2 issue Japanese army officer binoculars in original tropical carry case, offered in excellent condition. The binoculars are fully functional, with each side being having an independent focus control. Optics are mostly clear, and able to focus accurately. These bear the TO KO marking for Tokyo Kogaku Kikai or Tokyo Optical, as well as their logo. They were a major producer of binoculars during WWII. The Binoculars also bear serial number No24126. Overall condition is good, though some of the plastic covering of the binoculars has cracked off due to deterioration of the plastic. The neck strap for the binoculars is canvas with leather attaching straps, and is in excellent condition. The canvas of the strap bears clear ink arsenal markings.

The case is of the painted canvas type, common for tropical use, and is in excellent condition for the age of the piece. It shows wear to the pain on the edges of the case, which is the usual wear point. The shoulder strap is of the rubberized laminated type, though sadly the rubber has mostly deteriorated with time. Closure strap is leather, and shows some wear but is still functional.

Approximate dimensions are 8" x 9" x 4. Overall an excellent addition to any WWII Collection.
