Original WWII Imperial Japanese 7 X 7.1° Binoculars by Tokyo Optical - TOKO With Canvas Case

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a nice set of WWII issue Japanese army officer binoculars, offered in very good condition. The binoculars are mostly functional, with the focus diopter on the left side working, while the right is currently stuck quite securely. Optics are mostly clear, and the left side has a very nice range reticle inside.

The binoculars bear the TO KO marking for Tokyo Kogaku Kikai or Tokyo Optical, as well as their logo on the left side. They were a major producer of binoculars during WWII. The Binoculars also bear serial number No.7182 / J.E.S. ねち under the maker marking. The right side gives the specifications of 7 X 7.1°., and measuring the lower lenses gives a diameter of 50mm, a standard size used during the war.

Overall condition is good and still retains the eyecup caps. The body has some cracking in the plastic, and objective lens extension plastic is completely missing. The original neck strap is also completely missing. It also does look like previously some attempts at repairs may have been made. The reinforced canvas carry case is in excellent condition with serviceable straps.

Approximate dimensions are 8" x 9" x 4". Overall a great addition to any WWII Pacific Collection.

Comes more than ready for further research and display.
