Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good condition original WWII Issue holster for the Japanese Nambu type 14 semi automatic pistol. It is constructed of thick rubberized canvas with a hard shell lid which covers the pistol's grip as well as the spare ammunition compartment and firing pin pouch. There is also a flap cover the ammunition compartment, which is intact, and a loop inside the main compartment to hold the combination cleaning rod take down tool. The rear of the holster has a belt loop and two loops for a shoulder / cross strap, which in this case is actually included!

We very rarely see Nambu holsters with the original strap included, as they were quite versatile and removed for other purposes. The strap on this example is made from rubberized canvas as well, and unfortunately it has become stiff and delaminated in a lot of areas, very common with Japanese rubberized canvas straps and slings.

Overall the holster is in very good condition, though as with all rubberized canvas from WWII, the rubber has become quite hard. We were able to open the ammo pouch cover, and see that it is empty. The holster still has a complete leather closure strap, with an intact pull tab, showing some tearing around the springs.

This holster is in great shape, complete with a shoulder strap and ready to display!
