Original Item: Only One Available. This is an exceptionally rare excellent totally genuine BATF compliant inert Yugoslavian WWII Model 1938 Offensive hand Grenade.
The Model 38 Grenade as with the Model 35, were produced in two versions by Yugoslavia before and during World war Two; Defensive and Offensive type. The Defensive grenade was made of smooth cast iron but has had internally segmented fragmentation matrix. The Offensive blast type was made of the same light sheet metal as the Mod.35, with no fragmentation matrix and had a central seam. The fuzes were the same percussion type; lead washer between the fuze and the grenade body; brass fuze cap; reverse thread for the fuze body and dual gas vents.
This is an exceptionally rare Pre-WWII grenade with only a few known examples currently in private collections and museums.
