Original German WWII Panzerfaust 60 Anti-Tank Rocket and Launcher with Original Paint

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. Panzerfaust 60 gross ("large") or Faustpatrone (Translated literally to mean: Tank Fist Large) was the third version of the Panzerfaust. This was the most common version, with production starting in September 1944. It had a much more practical range of 60 m (66 yd), although with a muzzle velocity of only 45 m (148 ft) per second it would take 1.3 seconds for the warhead to reach a tank at that range. To achieve the higher velocity, the tube diameter was increased to 5 cm (2.0 in) and 134 g (4.7 oz) of propellant used. It also had an improved flip-up rear sight and trigger mechanism. The weapon now weighed 6.1 kg (13 lb). It could defeat 200 mm (7.9 in) of armor.

This ingenious throw away Rocket and Launcher was one of AH's last ditch weapons adopted by the NSDAPs to try and repel the invading Allies on both the Eastern and Western fronts.

This example has been demilitarized according to specifications by the BATF. It still retains much of the original dunkelgelb paint, red stenciling, leaf sight and plunger trigger assembly. The original rocket is complete but only one of the thin fins is present. The rocket is maker marked bkp for Röhrenwerk Johannes Susan GmbH of Arnsberg in Westfalen.

This is a very rare example and your chance to own an original WW2 panzerfaust 60M launcher and rocket set. Examples of their quality are rarely offered on the collector's market.
