Original WWII Italian General Uniform with Bustina Field Cap and Greatcoat
Original Item: Only One Available. A genuine near unissued condition generale di brigata (Brigade General) uniform set consisting of tunic, trousers, shirt, neck tie, overcoat and field cap. The overall condition of the pieces is excellent with only minor wear from age.
The fine two pocket four button wool tunic bears a maker label that reads UNIONE MILITARE. Cuffs have bullion insignis and the lapels have single gold stars. Size is approximately a US 40.
Greatcoat is also a size US 40, is features a double breasted six button front, with bullion embroidered cuffs, single gold lapel stars and a maker label.
The "Bustina" field cap was originally introduced in 1933 and was worn by both Army and Fascist militia personnel, with minor variations.
This green wool field cap features fold down side panels are held to the crown of the cap by a corresponding hidden snap. The front visor is in the upright position. To the front is a very fine embroidered gold bullion on crimson background with insignia. Also, on the left side is embroidered gold bullion on crimson background rank badge of a single star denoting the rank of generale di brigata. The interior is fully lined in a khaki rayon/silk with ink maker marking stamp and Torino.
Italian WWII uniforms are quite rare especially those of high ranking officers. The set is offered in wonderful condition ready to display.
