Original Items: One-of-a-kind Grouping. Color Sergeant Roy R. Haney AN 1379736 was assigned to Headquarters Company, 129th Infantry Regiment, 33rd Infantry Division and fought in France during the Great War. Sgt. Haney was born August 2nd, 1898 in Pontiac, Illinois. His diary begins on July 25th, 1917 with a final entry on September 17th, 1918 while fighting in France. Many of his entries about "Jerry" with mentions of places like "Verdun" and more, "downing Jerry planes" and more. Also included in this set are his officer's overseas cap, he was promoted to Lieutenant in late 1918 after the end of the war, as well as his original AEF dog tags, and loads of unattached insignia. Finally we also include the Sun City Masonic Club obituary of Lt. Haney which outlines his life and bids him a fare farewell.
