Original Items: Only Ones Available. Large Grouping of items attributed to U.S. Navy Lt. Commander Shelby L. Gillette. Not much is known of his service, other than he served during the Vietnam War Era. Priced at the value of the items alone, this is an excellent research opportunity!
Lot consists of:
- Decorated U.S. Navy Fixed Wing Flight Helmet in Red/White/Blue Motif with “Gillette” and “VMAT/203/Flight Surgeon” on the reverse. Visor is intact. Chinstrap and communications cord intact. One headset earpiece is missing. Foam padding is missing as well.
- Decorated Dual-Visor U.S. Navy Helicopter Flight Helmet. Various patterns placed on the front, sides, and reverse of the helmet done in reflective tape. Both shaded and clear visor is intact. Audio Earpieces are loose. Lining overall shows age.Communications Cord is missing.
