Original Items: One-of-a-kind Set. The Women's Army Corps (WAC) was the women's branch of the United States Army. It was created as an auxiliary unit, the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) on 15 May 1942 by Public Law 554, and converted to full status as the WAC on 1 July 1943.

Included in in this named grouping are the following items:
• Original WWII WAC HBT Coveralls in excellent condition.
• 1944 Dated Women’s wool shirt with embroidered Major or Field director rank insignia, embroidered Medical Nurse Corps insignia, name tag that reads STEPHENSON, and data label to the interior.
• Daisy Mae HBT Hat
• Parcel post canvas laundry case with post mark from 1949 addressed to Paul Nourse of Erwin Tennessee.

All in all WAC and field nurse gear from WWII are among the most difficult times to find on the collectors market today especially named groupings with complete HBT coveralls in excellent condition.
