Original U.S. WWII M63 Mount Side Plate Trigger

Item Description

Original Item: The M63 Antiaircraft Mount for the Browning M2 HB .50-caliber machine gun was introduced in 1944 and continued to serve for decades. Today, there are a good number of these mounts in collectors’ hands, but one component is virtually impossible to find: the side plate trigger.

This mechanism mounts to the left side plate of the M2 receiver and transfers the trigger release from the mount hand grips to the gun. This component, since it is not attached to the M63 mount itself, is always missing.

IMA has found just a handful of M-63 side plate triggers along with their heavy-duty steel carrying cylinders. The exploded view drawings and the monochrome photograph are from U.S. Army Technical Manual TM 9-1005-213-25.

Mounting requires two 10-32 x 3/8 inch flat-head screws.
