Original U.S. WWI Adlake Kerosene Oil Lantern

Original Item: Only One Available. Manufactured by the Adams and Westlake Company of Chicago and Philadelphia this Kerosene Oil Lantern is embossed ADLAKE and bears copious patent dates inside under the detachable oil burner ranging from 1903 to 1913. The removable burner with adjustable wick also bears patent dates of 1916.

This model of Lantern was designed to be mounted onto an "L" bracket and shone white light to the front and red light to the side. Very probably for use on a train car, early automobiles or even for use in the trenches of WW1.

Measuring 10" tall this lantern is in wonderful condition with a satin black paint finish. Appears to be fully functional and ideal for locomotive and WW1 enthusiasts alike. An original 100 year old item with a use even today.
